Joycelyn Desarno,RN in the NICU had an abstract titled “NICU Conscious Choice: Noise Pollution” accepted by the Academy of Neonatal Nurses for poster presentation at the Neonatal Nurses Conference in Washington DC.

This paper describes the preliminary steps being taken to reduce the noise level in NICU and increasing staff awareness.

When NICU unit did not have a current Infant CPR video in Spanish; we had to improvise. Suzanna Feliciano RN and Joycelyn Desarno RN made a poster board explaining in detail about Infant CPR in Spanish for our parents. This has improved the discharge process for our bilingual parents.
