TEHDI Award

Kudos to UHS for yet again achieving another prestigious recognition. As the oversight Agency for TEHDI (Texas Early Hearing Detection and Intervention ) program, the Texas Department of State Health Services monitor program compliance by birth facilities  with their newborn hearing screening and they awarded UHS the “Distinguished  Certification” for meeting the requirements and performance standards.

Obtaining the award was due to the hard work of Olga Haug RNC, Beth Lawrence LVN, Shelly Kanae UC, Christa Parramore UC, Stella Delgado UC, Delia Viera UC, Isabel Soto UC and newborn services former director, Irene Sandate MSN, RNC, NNP-BC.
